DofE Expeditions
We are an approved activitiy provider for the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) and run Walking and Canoeing Expeditions at Bronze and Silver levels. We run open expeditions (dates below) or bespoke packages for groups of 6 or more people.

Walking Expeditions
Planned and delivered to suit the group. Held locally at Bronze level to involve groups in their local area.
Canoeing & KataKanuing Expeditions
Travelling along the waterways gives a different feel to DofE. Our KataKanu’s are able to provide an inclusive expedition.
Qualified and Experienced Staff
Lead by Mountain Leaders our team work full time in the outdoor industry and love to pass on their enthusiasm and experience.
Bespoke Packages
All of our expeditions are built around the participants to ensure the best experience for the group.
Our 2026 Open expediton dates are:
Bronze Walking Training & Qualifying Expeditions 29th – 31st May or 26th-28th October £195. This is a combined training and qualifying so you need only attend one set of 3 days
Bronze Canoeing Training 26th -27th May £160
Bronze Canoeing Qualifying 4th-5th August £160
Silver Canoeing Training 12-14th August £240
Silver Canoeing Qualifying 26-28th August £240
Silver Walking Training 6pm 9th October – 4pm 11th October £170
Silver Walking Qualifying 29th-31st October £195
All prices include VAT, camping fees, tents and trangias and fuel for cooking. All expeditions are based in the Reading area (or within 30mins drive). Canoeing expeditions are on the River Thames.
Participants must bring the equipment listed on the kit list which will be sent on booking. Our expeditions need a minimum of 6 people to run and will be cancelled 2 weeks in advance if minimum numbers are not met.
